Hospitality
We love the term Hospitality when describing guest services such as hotels and restaurants. Hospitality is defined as “the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests”. The synonyms include “warmth, geniality, welcome, etc.” So when we begin thinking about the design of a hotel (particularly a boutique inn) or a restaurant, we want to make sure that those characteristics are reflected in the design. We want to give the guest an experience that brings not only warmth, but enjoyment. By using the right colors, the right mix of furnishings, the correct scale of the space and the materials that bring it all together, we can create a guest experience to be remembered.
