Sydney Parker

Jr. Project Manager | AIA

Sydney joined the Equip family in May 2022 after graduating with her Master of Architecture, finishing off an exciting 7-year stint as a Clemson University student. She is passionate about working with clients to find inspired solutions that meet their unique needs, and creating spaces that matter (because people matter).

Growing up in High Point, NC, Sydney was always drawn to problem-solving (whether that be the perfect laundry room hideout fort, solving mysteries around the house, or competing in the Math Olympics). Through various mission opportunities to places like Ghana, Costa Rica, and Slovenia, Sydney developed a love for missions and traveling. The desire to be missional led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in structural engineering from Clemson where she graduated in 2019. Here she also minored in Architecture which took her across the pond to Genoa, Italy Summer 2017 where she uncovered her true passion for design. A Master of Architecture was not far behind. While in graduate school, she also served as a teaching assistant for younger students. With a wide range of experiences and skills, Sydney is excited to merge her love for all aspects of design and disciplines, and work together to achieve success in her projects alongside other designers and clients.

Outside the office, Sydney immerses herself in community, loves being active, writes poetry, and leads worship. She is passionate about the Church and pursues opportunities to serve her community through her church home: Grace Church’s downtown campus. Sydney is also an avid CrossFit junkie (though she’ll tell you that she’s not great at it).
