Tanner Sharpe
Associate | AIA | LEED AP BD+C
Tanner brings diverse experience to Equip Studio ranging from architectural design to music ministry and songwriting. Originally from South Carolina, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Clemson University and began working with a local firm. His career then took a turn into music where he joined Crosspoint Church of Clemson, SC as worship leader and full-time seminary student.
After his time with Crosspoint he returned to Clemson University to earn a Master’s degree in Architecture, and along with his studio partner, received the Harlan McClure Award in recognition of outstanding architectural design for a graduate project. After graduate school, Tanner decided it was a good time to diversify his experience and began working with a firm in New Haven, CT that specializes in high rise office towers and corporate campuses. His project experience there included international projects and competitions with locations ranging from Dubai to Seattle. He also participated in the New Haven chapter of ACE Mentoring, working with local high school students to introduce them to the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction.
Tanner now enjoys being back in upstate South Carolina where he manages a range of projects for Equip Studio. In his spare time he enjoys songwriting and spending time with his wife, Hannah.
