Emma Hanson

Originally from upstate SC, Emma’s family moved to Russia when she was 6 years old where she spent the rest of her childhood. She fell in love with architecture as a small child, flipping through her mom’s Southern Living magazines, dreaming of what her future home might look like. Around the age of 10, Emma even began drawing floor plans of that dream house. She moved to Germany in high school to attend boarding school, then flew back stateside to attend Clemson University for an undergraduate degree in Architecture and a minor in Sustainability. Since then, Emma spent several years practicing at a residential firm designing high-end custom homes before joining the team at Equip in 2024. Emma is passionate about creating beautiful spaces that make people feel at home. She loves seeing a project go from hand-drawn sketches to construction, and getting to form relationships with clients and project teams.

Outside of her work, Emma loves spending time with family (especially her beautiful niece and nephew), reading, painting, snowboarding, being outdoors, traveling, going to concerts, and watching reality TV.
