Sam Childers

After graduating from Anderson University (SC) in 2024 with a BFA in Interior Design, Sam joined our team at Equip. As a social butterfly, Sam often found herself making as many friends as she could on campus, plugging into a variety of campus ministries, and taking any/all opportunities to study abroad (Germany & Switzerland). Sam grew up bouncing around the US from Ohio, to Indiana, to Texas, to Georgia and so on. But one thing that never changed was her passion for design. She found herself drawing toward Interior Design as it would allow her to exercise both the analytical and creative parts of her brain. Her favorite thing about design is that it allows her to (on a much smaller scale) imitate and replicate God’s design – creation. She believes the best designs begin with empathy. Her work is, in many ways, a practical application or display of the intentional care she has for individuals and companies around her.

Outside of her time in the office, Sam loves being in nature (walking, hiking, biking, etc.). Cooking and/or eating with her friends is a weekly must and overspending on lattes at craft coffee shops is her favorite pastime. On a quiet night in, you can find Sam reading from her book collection and creating art or music.
