Nicole Coker

Jr. Project Manager

Nicole earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Clemson University. As a student, Nicole studied abroad in Genoa, Italy, immersing herself in Italian culture and architectural history. Her passion for design began in Clemson’s Design-Build program, where she partnered with nonprofits to design and construct two community garden structures and an educational pavilion for a Title I school in Charleston, SC. These experiences sparked her love for the way architecture can connect people, strengthen communities, and serve a greater purpose.

This same passion drew Nicole to Equip Studio, where she values working on church architecture—projects that advocate for outreach, connection, and faith. Alongside professional practice, Nicole serves as a Lecturer at Clemson University’s School of Architecture, where she teaches foundational studios and currently leads second-year students.

Her commitment to inspiring the next generation of designers also extends into publishing. Nicole is the author of Be a Builder with Beah, a children’s book that introduces young readers to the world of design and building, empowering them—especially girls—to explore their creativity, spark curiosity, and serve as a catalyst in encouraging that power tools make you powerful.
Outside of work, she enjoys TJMaxx runs, board game nights, Harry Potter marathons, and catching up on Big Brother and Survivor with her fiancé, Alex. She also finds joy in growing her faith through her church’s growth group and reading personal development books.
