Mountaintop’s tagline is “For Birmingham.” This vibrant congregation has immersed themselves in their community as a church body that loves its city. The church approached Equip with a unique problem: being worship center heavy, and children’s space light. Our team proposed a new outdoor greenspace, family lobby addition, 2-story nursery, and pre-k classroom addition. The new design will allow them to grow into their existing worship facility and serve more Birmingham families. With the church’s love for celebrating its city, the modern and vibrant design uses local landmarks to make visitors feel “at home.” Guests will notice nods to Birmingham staples such as the Magic City Sign, the Children’s Hospital, Railroad Park, and Regions Field.
