Greenville ARP Church

Greenville | SC

Greenville ARP Church is a 100 year old church in a beautiful building in Greenville, S.C. The congregation is, and always has been, multi-generational. A portion of their mission statement revolves around the idea of family, yet they had no convenient space to meet with each other and had limited space for children. The current congregation was in need of facilities to support the existing energy and growth that the church is experiencing.

Equip Studio provided a church identity document that included a campus facility evaluation with prioritized facility needs. The design solutions included opening up the current narrow hallways for better flow, updating signage and restrooms, new covered drop-off canopy entries, and a new administration building that would free up space in the existing building. A new lobby area, the kingpin design element, provided a central gathering space which could be transformed into overflow seating for the Sanctuary. The new administrative building design, as well as the renovated areas, reflected the history of the church, yet met the modern day needs of the growing congregation.
