Elisa Sowell joined Equip Studio in the summer of 2018. She has a passion for architecture, urban, and graphic design and enjoys exploring how architecture can transform the urban fabric and impact its residents. Elisa is originally from Mexico; she moved to the United States in 2012 to attend Texas A&M. She has studied and worked in both countries, bringing over 8 years of experience in design and construction to our team. With a love for languages, she can communicate in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese.
Elisa holds a Bachelor in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University with a Minor in Urban and Regional Planning, graduating magna cum laude in 2014. She moved to South Carolina with her husband in 2018 where she is currently pursuing her Master of Architecture at Clemson University. Elisa began her architecture studies at Universidad Autonoma de Veracruz Villa Rica (UNAM) prior to attending Texas A&M, and holds a Certificate of Interior Design from Gestalt Veracruz.
Passionate about travel, Elisa has crossed the globe visiting more than 23 different countries exploring their architecture and urban fabric. Professionally, Elisa has completed commissions in Mexico for both residential and commercial design. Elisa enjoys spending her spare time with her husband Brian, their dog Tucker, as well as traveling and dancing.
